We are now in Rwanda

We are now in Rwanda

Kigali was not an accident. Over the past year, a growing share of the founders and companies we work with have had one foot in East Africa already — sourcing suppliers, hiring engineers, or simply asking whether the studio model would translate outside Lagos.

Today we are making it official. Digisoftas now has a permanent studio presence in Kigali, alongside our existing teams in Lagos and London.

Why Rwanda, why now

Rwanda's combination of policy stability, a genuinely digital-first government, and a young, technically capable talent pool made it the clearest next step for the studio. We have spent the past several months building relationships with local operators, understanding regulatory context, and identifying where our existing venture playbook needs to adapt rather than simply copy over.

The short version: Kigali is not a satellite office. It is a full studio node, with its own build capacity and its own pipeline of local ideas we are already working through.

What this changes for founders

If you are building in Rwanda or the wider East African market, this is your signal that the studio is now a realistic partner, not a distant one. The same process applies — idea, build and launch, scale — just with a team that understands the local context without a translation layer.

We are not exporting a Lagos playbook to Kigali. We are building a studio that understands both markets on their own terms.

What's next

Over the coming months, expect to see the first Kigali-originated ventures show up in the portfolio. If you are a founder, operator or company in Rwanda with an idea worth exploring, reach out. We are actively taking meetings.
